How our Green Giraffe Nursery teams are making a difference beyond the workplace:
Saturday 2nd May 2026 – Cardiff Pretty Muddy 5k.
The Green Giraffe nursery practitioners from Cardiff Bay and Penarth nursery settings have recently completed the fun run challenge for the second consecutive year in aid of Cancer Research UK. We would like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful families and friends who supported us in raising over £2,000.
Your kindness, generosity and encouragement mean so much to us. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to contribute to such an important cause.
Saturday 6th June – Three Welsh Peaks Challenge
Staff members from the Family Adventures group are about to take on The Welsh Three Peaks challenge —Yr Wyddfa, Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan —which are the highest mountains in Wales. The challenge is to climb all three, one after the other in aid of Ty Hafan hospice charity!
Tŷ Hafan is a Welsh children’s hospice charity that supports children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Wales. They provide specialist care, emotional support, and respite services, both at their hospice in Sully and within families’ homes and communities. Their work helps families make the most of precious time together, while also offering comfort, guidance, and bereavement support when it is needed most.
Cheryl, the Nursery Manager at The Green Giraffe Nursery – Cardiff Bay, is leading the challenge and has set up a JustGiving page for anyone who would like to donate, helping ensure that no family has to face the journey alone and that vital care and support can continue when it matters most.

Saturday 17th June – 26 mile Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike
Cheryl, Eleri and Emily from the Cardiff Bay Green Giraffe nursery are taking on a spectacular Welsh hike around peninsula’s rugged coastline to support people living with cancer.
