Perfectly positioned on The Parade, Roath, our Green Giraffe nursery offers a rare blend of convenience and tranquillity for families living or working in Roath, Cathays, Cardiff City Centre and nearby neighbourhoods. Just a short walk from local parks, the university, the hospital and major routes into the city, our Roath nursery makes everyday drop-offs seamless — while giving children a warm, homely environment designed to nurture confidence, independence and joyful learning.
We care for up to 56 children, aged 3 months to 5 years, across beautifully designed rooms that feel calm, natural and truly “like home.” Each space is thoughtfully arranged to promote emotional security, meaningful exploration and child-led discovery — the foundation of all early learning.
As a Montessori-inspired, eco-conscious nursery, we blend gentle care with high-quality Early Years Education, rooted in the Curriculum for Wales. Children enjoy rich daily experiences: sensory play, practical life activities, baking, gardening, imaginative play, storytelling and outdoor exploration. Every day is unhurried, purposeful and filled with opportunities to grow at their own pace.
We proudly deliver the Welsh Language Active Offer, meaning Welsh is naturally woven throughout our day via stories, group times, greetings, songs and playful interactions — supporting early bilingual development in a gentle and meaningful way.
