We offer convenient wraparound childcare for families needing school drop‑offs and pick‑ups, providing one easy drop‑off point at Green Giraffe while our team manages the school runs. We currently support Marlborough Primary School and Howardian Primary School, with wraparound for Roath Park Primary School, Tredegarville CIW Primary School, Adamstown Primary School, Stacey Primary School, Albany Primary School and Baden Powell Primary School coming soon based on parent demand. Caring for up to 56 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, our beautifully designed age‑group rooms feel calm, natural and truly “like home,” each thoughtfully arranged to promote emotional security, meaningful exploration and child‑led discovery — the foundation of early learning. As a Montessori‑inspired, eco‑conscious nursery, we blend gentle care with high‑quality Early Years Education rooted in the Curriculum for Wales, offering rich daily experiences including sensory play, practical life activities, baking, gardening, imaginative play, storytelling and outdoor exploration. Every day is unhurried, purposeful and filled with opportunities for children to grow at their own pace in a nurturing, inspiring environment.

Our Montessori-Inspired Curriculum

At Roath, our curriculum blends Montessori principles with the Curriculum for Wales to create a calm, child‑centred learning experience where children lead their own exploration and development. Outdoor Exploration

Our Roath garden offers a beautiful natural space where children can run, climb and balance, dig and plant, explore textures through outdoor sensory play, build independence and physical confidence, and enjoy storytelling, music and imaginative play in the fresh air. Outdoor time forms an essential part of our daily rhythm, giving children the freedom to move, explore and connect with nature. We also love getting out into the community, regularly visiting our wonderful local surroundings. With multiple parks and green spaces right on our doorstep, and regular minibus trips to nearby attractions, children have rich opportunities to learn about the world, explore new places and develop a strong sense of curiosity and belonging. Community exploration and outdoor learning are key parts of our ethos and curriculum, helping children grow into confident, capable little adventurers
